Zaurus Demo

Completed somewhere near September 2002.

The Zaurus Demo is available on the zaurus-zone feed to download. The program itself is generally an introduction on how to use the basics of the Zaurus. It is animated and written in C++. I will post the source soon. Thanks to warmi for the introduction to QT programs (http://warmi.net/).

Download the IPK:

InetFlash

InetFlash is a fairly simple program that flashes your mail led whenever there is internet activity. This can be useful because you can make sure that packets are coming by while browsing the internet, checking your email, or downloading an ipk. This is similar to your HDD led, except for the internet. :-) Inetflash is available on the zaurus-zone feed.

Contents:
InetFlash version 0.1 Beta, binary size = 112k.

Download the IPK:
inetflash_0.1Beta_arm.ipk Ipk Size = 60k.

Download the Source:
inetflash_0.1Beta.tar.gz Ipk Size = 60k.

Notes:
This program requires libpcap so download it to you zaurus if you don't already have it.

Zaurus Ruby Port

Posted on 10/20/02

Ruby is an object-orinted interpreted scripting language that isn't too difficult to learn... I myself actually don't program in ruby, the only relation I have to it is that I ported it to the Agenda VR3 a while back... I'm doing the same for sharp zaurus... :-D

Contents:
The IPK includes the actual ruby interpreter, miniruby, some examples, and a README file about ruby... The binary is located in the opt/QtPalmtop/bin directory, and the rest is located in opt/QtPalmtop/ruby/

Download the IPK:
ruby_1.6.7_arm.ipk Ipk Size = 544k.
ruby_nosamples_1.6.7_arm.ipk (Only miniruby executable..) Ipk Size = 520k.

Instructions/About:
This is ruby version 1.6.7. To run a ruby script, simple type (if miniruby is in your path):
miniruby myscript.rb
It would be wise to actually find out how to use the ruby interpreter.. so try a:
miniruby --help

Notes:
First of all.. this ipk is pretty big.. the miniruby binary itself is about 1.5 megs... Just a warning (btw.. its not 100 precent tested :) )
