Backing up agenda's data 1. First start an PPP conection with the agenda.... 2 .On the Agenda VR3 type: cd /home/default tar cvf bkup.tar /flash Wait... gzip bkup.tar 3. Then on your Linux pc type: rsync agendas_ip::vr3/home/default/bkup.tar.gz ./bkup.tar.gz Replace agendas_ip with agenda's ip. Then you should have a directory named flash, and thats how you back up agenda's data. if you have really used up your space on your agenda instead of tar cvf bkup.tar /flash do something like this: tar cvf bkup.tar /flash | > gzip bkup.tar ----------------------------OR------------------------------------ Or if you wanted to back up /home/default on your agenda you could do: On Linux PC: cd / mkdir agbackup cd agbackup rsync -varu agendas_ip::vr3/flash ./ Replace agendas_ip with well, the agenda's IP. I pefer this way better because even if you have not that much space on your agenda, you can still back it up.
